OPTIMIZING THE ROLE OF THE GUARANTEE STUDENT COMMUNITY IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE MADRASAH PROGRAM IN THE SALAFIYAH IBTIDAIYAH MADRASAH (MSI) 17 PABEAN OF PEKALONGAN

Abstract

This research is motivated by the decreasing enthusiasm of some parents in supporting school programs. In an effort so that the school and parents do not lose communication, MSI 17 Pabean has formed a guardian association and formulated several special programs for guardians of students which is one of the attractions of this school. So the authors formulate a problem regarding the madrasa program involving guardians of students and optimizing the role of the student guardian association in the development of the madrasa program at Madrasah Salafiyah Ibtidaiyah (MSI) 17 Pabean, Pekalongan City. The purpose of this research, among others. (1) To describe the madrasa program involving guardians of students. (2) To describe the optimization of the role of the student guardian association in the development of madrasa programs. The benefits that can be obtained from this research are to add to the scientific treasures and insights about the program and the efforts made in the development of the madrasa program. This research includes field research with a qualitative research approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out interactively through three stages, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions or verification. The results of this study indicate that the madrasa program involving the guardians of MSI 17 Pabean students is the socialization of learning at the beginning of the school year, the formation of the association's management, the implementation of the association (including istighosah, delivery of madrasa programs, parenting and coaching, and sharing/parenting classes), exhibitions and meetings. alumni, as well as annual evaluation and awarding of rewards. Meanwhile, in optimizing the role of the student guardian association to develop madrasa programs, it was found that the efforts made by the madrasa principal and teachers included creating a friendly environment for the creation of parental participation, the intensity of communication, making programs for guardians of students, being open to parents in planning, implementing , evaluation, and program follow-up plans, facilitation of parental services and providing opportunities for parents to participate.
