Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine higher-order thinking skills based on Adversity Quotient. The type of research used in this study is the Mixed Method. A mixed Method is a research approach by combining quantitative research with qualitative research that understands the state of the subject more deeply than the data obtained. The first time the quantitative approach is when the score has obtained data in the form of higher-order thinking skills and the Adversity Quotient (AQ) score of the students and the qualitative approach is carried out after determining the relationship between the two variables. The results showed that the Camper category became the main category owned by students in the class and students with the Quitter category became the minority. However, students with a low Adversity Quotient (Quitter) can have the ability to think high-levelly with low, medium, and high categories and vice versa. This indicates that there are still many students who do not realize the potential that exists within them. By knowing the Adversity Quotient of each student, it is hoped that it can be a reference that provides motivation and attention to the importance so that students can realize and maximize their abilities, especially in Higher-Level Mathematical Thinking Skills.
