Efektivitas Model Pembelajaran Generatif pada Materi Bangun Datar Segi Empat terhadap Kemampuan Representasi Matematis Siswa Kelas VII MTs Al Fatah Maos

Learning mathematics in the material of quadrilaterals in class VII MTs Al Fatah Maos which is still teacher-centered and there are still students who have not been able to visualize the problem into a picture and still have difficulty writing a step-by-step solution. One of the factors that can affect students' mathematical representation abilities is the use of generative learning models. This article is intended to determine the application and effectiveness of the generative learning model on mathematical representation abilities. This type of research is experimental research with a one-group pre-test and post-test design with a purposive sampling technique. The sample of this research is 32 students. The data was collected by observing and testing the ability of mathematical representation. The results of the data are processed using SPSS V.25 statistical calculations. The data obtained from the application of the generative learning model to the students' mathematical representation ability reached a score of 41 with a percentage of 98% in the very good category. The data on the effectiveness of the generative learning model on the mathematical representation ability obtained an average pre-test score of 57.97 and post-test of 80.78, with a significance of 0.000 <0.05, which can be concluded as effective.
