Abstract

The study of the development of an ethnomathematics textbook based on geogebra integrated challenge-based learning on curved side space on the student’s creative thinking skills was carried out using Research & Development (R&D) designs. The 4-D model with modifications is carried out starting from the Define, Design, to Develop stages. Data was obtained through a questionnaire and analyzed by descriptive percentage. The results showed that this textbook has a feasibility with an average percentage of 86.67% which is included in the very feasible category, the readability value with an average percentage of 94% is included in the category of the easy-to-understand textbook, and the value of student responses to the textbook with an average percentage of 91% which is in the very good/very interesting category. These results indicate that the developed textbooks can be used as a reference in mathematics learning activities to overcome students' difficulties in understanding curved side space and to facilitate students' creative thinking skills. However, textbooks still need to be tested on grade IX students of SMP/MTs to prove the validity of textbooks in developing students' creative thinking skills.
